Jenny Wolleat — Community Links Specialist, Links for Health

Jenny is originally from Portland and has a bachelors of science in Psychology from Portland State University.  She relocated to Bend in the summer of 2009 to start her family. When her baby girl was born 6 weeks early her world was turned upside down. Jenny found herself overwhelmed with the possible challenges of caring for a premature infant and lacked the knowledge of resources in the community. She consumed any information she could find about resources that could benefit her new family. She felt she so desperately needed someone to help coordinate all of the appropriate services. She had so much information flying at her from every direction it was impossible to organize it all.

When Jenny decided it was time to go back to work she discovered HealthMatters of Central Oregon Links 4 Health Program. Jenny feels that the Community Links Specialist was the perfect job for her; giving her the ability to work with families going through exactly what she went through with her little one. Jenny feels such an intense need to help families access vital resources and to offer them her support through compassion and coordination.
