Brenda JohnsonRegional Coordinator, Living Well Central Oregon

Brenda Johnson is currently serving as the Regional Coordinator for the Living Well with Chronic Conditions programs in Central Oregon.  The Living Well programs are evidence based, model programs developed at the Stanford University Patient Education Research Center.   She has been involved with the Stanford program since 1998 and has introduced the 6 week self -management workshops to two hospital systems in Washington and Oregon and currently serves as the lead coordinator for the regional project through the Deschutes County Health Services. 

Since 2007, Brenda has trained over 75 workshop leaders regionally and has coordinated workshops that reached over 571 participants.  Brenda's educational and professional background includes a Master's Degree in Adult Education Administration, with an undergraduate degree in Community Health Education.  Her career has spanned a variety of roles in a number of private, public and non-profit organizations including hospital/health systems, medical insurance, municipal government and private consulting.  Brenda has served as adjunct faculty for the Parish Nurse training program in Washington and Oregon since 2000.
